A wee while ago TPP covered morning routines and got you to ponder of your own morning routine – what part of it helps you get going in the right direction for the day ahead, what hinders, what can you change and what, like TPP’s morning coffee, is non-negotiable.
As it was a early start today TPP really needed a coffee to get going. So the topic for today is are you a coffee person?
It is not really known when or how coffee was discovered but there are many stories about where it came from, some dating back to the 15th century. Whether or not the 15th century timeframe is true, coffee as a drink has been around for a very, very long time. Because of this, coffee has come to be one of the most popular drinks around the world and is a social routine for many of us – be it as simple as a drink to start the day, help keep you awake into the night or in sitting in a meeting at work with a coffee.
When suggesting to catch up with a friend you are more likely to say “let’s catch up for a coffee” rather than saying “let’s catch up for a cup of tea” – this is generally true even if you are not a coffee drinker!
You will hear regularly that coffee is bad for your but there are also many studies that say in moderation it can be beneficial – TPP will take the win of “it is good in moderation” and ignore the rest, ha ha.
So your homework today is to ponder on are you a coffee drinker or not. As with all things pondering there is no right or wrong answer, it is more a matter of opening your mind with wherever the pondering takes you.
Ponder away!
