Where To Ponder

Where to ponder

This is one of those questions where the answer is dependent on the person. Some people need a quiet space where they sit with no interruptions and just ponder, others need the hustle and bustle of life going on around them to be able to ponder.

The main thing about where, is that it needs to be a place that you can clear your mind of the day to day thoughts – you know the things like what is for dinner, when do the kids need to be picked up, how much time do I have before I need to leave to get to that meeting, etc. Those thoughts need to be put on the back burner for at least a few minutes while you ponder.

You need to be able to clear your mind of that general “buzz” and concentrate on the topic you are pondering. Now the topic might be what of one the “buzz” thoughts, but if it is, use your pondering time to think about it from a different angle. For example if you are pondering on “what is for dinner” maybe you can go down the path of what are traditional foods from different countries and what are they the tradition or how the food tradition came about.

Like the question of when to ponder, where to ponder does not matter as long as you do it on a regular basis.

So if you ponder place is sitting on the bus on your way to work, perfect get to it. Or if your ponder place is under the apple tree in your garden, fabulous sit down under the tree and get to it.

Your homework for today is to take a moment to ponder what environment suits you and your personality… is it a quiet place, or by a beach, or in a park, or on the subway… the options are limitless. Just figure out what it is for you.
