Run Away To Join The Circus

Many moons ago when TPP was young there was a lot of time spent day dreaming about what would it be like to running away to join the circus. This was never more so than when things were not going so well and life was tough.

Some of the ponderings included…

  • Living a life of no fixed abode
  • What would it be like waking up in a new city / town every every time the circus moved on
  • Seeing all of the different countryside when travelling to the next place
  • Which would be more fun being a clown, a magicians assistant, doing a juggling act or working with the animals
  • Everyone in the circus being one big family
  • Eating circus food every day – way more exciting than healthy things like fruit and vegetables!

Like many a person who ponders joining the circus, never was there a thought about the “negative” aspects or things that could go wrong, only the fun or exciting things – nothing like looking at things through rose tinted glasses!

Now most of us will have thought about running away as some stage in our lives, especially when times are tough. For some it may be the circus, others maybe a nice sunny beach somewhere or even to the hustle and bustle of a big city – everyone is different. Plus, as we get older where would run away to changes.

Your homework today is to ponder on where the younger you would run away to, and where the you of now would go – is it the same place or somewhere different? Why pick that place or places?

Ponder away!
