Today is a quick one – TPP was flicking around some websites and came across the following meme:
Why is something sent by a car called a shipment, but something sent by a ship called cargo?
Hmmm, that is a totally inane but interesting question. TPP sat for a few moments pondering this and other conundrums like this came to mind, such as one that most of us have heard before… why do feet run, but noses smell?
In both cases TPP ultimately decided who cares what the answer is, but they are still interesting to ponder on!
So, your homework today is to ponder both of the above conundrums, let you mind wander wherever it wants to go with this – maybe it is to other similar inane questions, or maybe it is about the actual detail of each. No matter where your mind takes you, let it open you up to the nuances of each of the two questions.
