Drawing of a happy yellow sun

A Little Ray of Sunshine

TPP has been housebound the last few days due to a wee leg injury, nothing major but just enough to limit activity. As an avid outdoors person cabin fever quickly took hold. Fortunately this morning dawned a bright, beautiful, cloudless day and feeling more mobile TPP just had to get outside and enjoy the amazing day.

There is nothing like going out on a crisp morning to start the day in the right frame of mind – the fresh air that is still cool from the overnight temperatures, the first warm rays of sunshine on your face and the smells of the new day. Even more cherished after a bout of cabin fever!

Living rurally TPP gets to enjoy the sound of nature waking up on mornings like these. A true blessing.

This morning was no different:

  • the birds in the trees chattering away
  • the hens looking around for worms and bugs to eat
  • some livestock in the distance quietly having breakfast
  • two bunnies playing
  • the trees moving a little in the gentle breeze
  • the faint smell of jasmine in the air

All in all a perfect start to the day after being stuck inside for a few days… well just need to add a coffee to that list to make it absolutely perfect!

Your homework for today is to ponder on what activity most helps you to dispel that cabin fever – is it getting for a run or some exercise, going for a drive or just catching up with some friends. Embrace that “happy” feeling you get when that cabin fever is no more and store that feeling for next time you are stuck inside.

Ponder away!
