One of the things that TPP is about is to get you to actually live life and not just exist from day to day. One of those things that will help is to take a wee bit of time every day to appreciate and be thankful for the things around you – big and small.
With this in mind, have you taken the time today to just appreciate your surrounds? With most of us rushing from one thing to the next the answer is probably no, not today. Well what about in the last week? Again for most people, probably not.
If, in both instances above, the answer is no, then when was the last time you actually took the time to appreciate your surrounds? And TPP means “really” appreciate, not just a casual look and think “Hmmm, that is interesting”.
TPP gets it that you have a lot on with family, a job or schooling, keeping fit, meals and all of the other mundane day to day stuff. So where on earth are you going to find some extra time to stop and appreciate your surrounds?
Well, how about just spending a minute right now to sit back and look at what is going on around you. Quietly take in the scene and find something that is “good or positive” about it. Maybe it is chaotic but there will be something within the chaos that you can appreciate – like the sun is shining, a laugh in the distance or a bird chirping away.
Your homework for today is to ponder on whatever it is you see that is “good or positive” around you and be thankful for it.
Ponder away!
