Why Ponder

Why Ponder

As a child did you ever just look up at the sky and see a cloud shaped as a face, an animal or some other recognizable object? The more you looked the more faces or animals you saw. Were you with a buddy and your buddy saw a something totally different to you, even though you were looking at the same clouds? There was no way either of you could convince the other that they were wrong. Each saw what they saw.

What has this got to do with pondering you ask – well just like opening your mind to see recognizable shapes in the clouds, pondering opens your mind to other opportunities or possibilities. This expands your mind and horizon, giving more clarity to your thoughts.

But, just like seeing something different to your buddy, what you ponder will never be the same as another person. Every person sees things differently, it maybe just by a little bit or there may be a massive Grand Canyon sized gap between you and others.

The more you ponder the more you can see there are so many different options to one cloud shape or perspectives when seeing how quickly the cloud can change.

So next time you see a cloud spend some a few minutes to ponder what shape do you see. Then, thinking of someone you know well, look again and wonder, from their perspective, what they might say the shape was if they were there looking with you.
