Today’s pondering topic is a very quick one – when it comes to numbers, what sort of person are you?
- Do your prefer odd numbers over even ones, or vica versa
- Are you someone who likes zero’s and fives only or other particular numbers
- Is there any number/s you don’t like
- You don’t care, any number will do
- Or you have never consciously pondered on it
Some people are very particular when it comes to numbers. For example when purchasing a raffle or lottery ticket they will only buy ones with a particular number/s, whereas others will just take the next ticket or a random one.
In creating this pondering topic for you, TPP found an out interesting fact – there is something called arithmophobia, which is the fear of numbers. This includes the generalised fear of all numbers and a fear of specific numbers. Arithmophobia is also known as numerophobia.
So your homework for today is to ponder on which of the above bullet points best describes where you are at with numbers and why that might be. Then go and do something that means you have to use one of the other options, just to be contrary and expand your outlook in this area – maybe go for a drive and put the stereo volume onto an even number if you prefer odd numbers or pick the third checkout instead of the second one. If you are in the “don’t care or never pondered it” then just take notice of where the volume is or what number checkout you use.
Ponder away!
