This is a very simple one – next time you are out for a walk on path take notice of where you walk. Do you…
- Step on the breaks in the path
- Make sure you miss the breaks
- Don’t care either way or
- Have never thought about it
Most will probably answer that they have never thought about it and there is nothing wrong with that – as with all things pondering, there is no right answer.
Or are you someone who tries to miss the breaks on purpose – why is this? Is it something that you are particular about or is it just a little game you play with yourself every now and then?
This is one you can have a lot of fun with, even become child like. What do we mean by child like? Well, have you ever noticed that kids many a time naturally have fun with this exact thing as you are walking somewhere with them? They will walk along taking super short or really long steps in order to step on the breaks or they may even try to jump with both feet from one to the next while trying to miss the breaks.
So why not allow that inner child out and pretend that you are having a game and are not allowed to stop on the breaks in the path? Maybe hop, skip or jump between the sections. Just let go and have fun with it. If you are worried about people looking strangely at you behaving like a child with this, then find somewhere by yourself and unleash that inner child.
So your homework for the day is to go for a walk along a path. Note where you walk and then ponder on why you walk the way you do, or what would happen if you did one of the other options above. For example, if you naturally step on the breaks how about what about trying to miss them, or if you have never thought about it why not consciously try walking on the breaks? Whatever you do with this one, getting out and walking on the breaks, or not, is good exercise for both your mind and body.
Ponder away!
